Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) can of black beans
- ½ green pepper (chopped)
- ½ onion (chopped)
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- ½ cup whole-wheat breadcrumbs

1 scoop of Further Food Superfood Turmeric
- ½ teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon cumin (optional)
- 1½ tablespoons olive oil (optional)
- 2 tablespoons cilantro (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Drain and rinse beans.
Place beans in food processor and mash.
Remove beans from processor and place in bowl and add pepper, Superfood Turmeric, onion & garlic.
In a small bowl lime juice, cumin, and (hot sauce if desired).
Add spice mixture to beans and then stir in breadcrumbs, add salt and pepper to taste.
To make patty, lightly pack some of the mixture to fill 1/3 cup measuring cup. Take mixture out of cup and form into a patty or burger shape. Continue until all mix is gone.
If mixture seems too dry, add up to 1 1/2 tbsp of olive oil before shaping into patties (optional).
Spray a pan with cooking spray and cook patties over medium heat until heated through.
Serve over a bed of lettuce, tomatoes and pickles or a half of a whole-wheat hamburger bun
Make them ahead of time and freeze them for future use.
